Attorney | Probate and Estate Planning

Probate and Estate Planning AttorneyCareer Consulting Partners has teamed up with a prestigious firm in South Bay Los Angeles. We are looking for an attorney with a primary focus on Probate, Trust Administration, and Estate Planning to work out of our El Segundo/Manhattan Beach office. You will play a critical role in representing our clients in complex probate and estate planning disputes. For perspective, this position will consist of a 95% litigation-focused caseload so if you are looking for a transaction or administrative position this is not it.You will work closely with our clients, colleagues, and partners to provide strategic legal advice and representation in disputes related to wills, trusts, estate planning, probate litigation, inheritance disputes, conservatorship, elder abuse, elder estate planning, retirement planning, and more.Responsibilities Include:

• Draft estate planning documents (wills, trusts, power of attorney, etc.) and advise clients on estate planning matters
• Prepare and draft legal documents and pleadings
• Work on discovery
• Conduct research
• Attend and conduct Depositions and Mediations through Trial
• Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
• Represent clients in court
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

Qualifications:

• 3 + years experience in Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Probate
• Member of the California Bar and in good standing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a professional environment and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations, including the ability to remain calm and efficient during stressful situations
• Self-sufficient and working independently

• 1450 Billable Minimum Requirement
• Bonus + Commissions
• $150,000 – $200,000
